⦿ REJUVINATING PACKET RADIO CONNECTIVITY
Packet Radio is long existed as a digital communication method. In the Philippines, SCAN International pioneered its application to Bulletin Board System (BBS) connectivity. Since then, most members have maintained their application in different modes.
Today, the DX3EVM SCAN International Technical Team has demonstrated a significant resurgence with modern packet BBS systems, which can share bulletins via radio. The objective is to maintain a reliable communication backbone when standard internet infrastructure is inaccessible.
The team headed by Ramon, DV3EVG, and Jay, DU1JXT, integrated various architecture modes such as the APRS, VARA, WINLINK, and others to further the experimentation.
Thanks to our other communicators enthusiasts, Nanding, DU1BBS; Roel, DU3RBQ; Carlo, DU2CXI; Manny, DU3MKG; Joseph, DU3TSJ; Gino, DU3GSM; and Raffy, DV3ZRR; Jeff, DU1JW; Jr, DU1SPB; Baldwin, DU1TDX; and Mario, DU1EMJ who are also part of the team.
Our Communication, Electrical, and Software Engineers Glenn, 4I1GSA, Donn, 4G1NOD, and Gabby, DV1KEN/KF6UKB, supervise the rejuvenation activity.
